Member Settings
We recommend Thunderbird and Outlook, they should autoconfigure all settings by entering your email address, which will be username@ausics.net

Incoming Mail Server
mail.ausics.net
POP3 (port 110) with STARTTLS, or
IMAP (port 143) with STARTTLS, or
POP3s (port 995) TLS, or
IMAPs (port 993) TLS

Outgoing Mail Server

SMTP (port 587) with STARTTLS, or

We do not relay outbound mail via regular SMTP Port 25

When sending and receiving Email, you must enable STARTTLS or TLS in your client, if you want to leave mail on the server, rather than using this POP3 setting, use IMAP instead. 


Multiple failed logins within a short period of time will result in your IP address being denied access for three hours. If this occurs, please open a support request providing your username, time of occurrence, and IP address (obtainable from zonecheck.org)


We use multiple anti-spam and anti-virus measures, low to moderate scored will have "X-Spam-Flag: YES" header added, this allows you to create junk filters in your Email clients, Webmail users have this enabled by default, The subject line is modified to reflect the message was detected as spam. We silently discard all High Scored spam (level 20.0 or above).

For Webmail and IMAP users, the contents of the Trash folder are deleted after 7 days and Junk 28 days.
If using IMAP, make sure your mail clients Trash/Deleted Messages folder is set to Trash.

Some mobile devices default to non standard Trash or Deleted Messages folder, we have in place aliasing which should take care of this, otherwise you may need to periodically manually purge that folders contents
